Vikings place Adam Thielen on IR
Just days after Adam Thielen re-aggravated an ankle injury during a game against the Los Angeles Rams, the Minnesota Vikings say the wide receiver is now on injured reserve.
The team announced the move Wednesday, meaning Thielen will miss the rest of the regular season.

Thielen had originally injured his ankle during a game against the NFC North rival Detroit Lions and missed the next two games against the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Chicago Bears.
The Vikings (7-8) are trying to keep their playoff hopes alive, and are traveling to Green Bay this week to take on the Packers (12-3) on Sunday Night Football.
Although the Vikings will be without Thielen Sunday, the team activated running back Dalvin Cook from the Reserve/COVID-19 list earlier in the day. In addition, cornerback Tye Smith was activated from the practice squad Reserve/COVID-19 list while defensive end Patrick Jones II was put on the COVID list.
