Austin police investigating Friday morning argument possibly involving a gun

AUSTIN, Minn. – (ABC 6 News) – The Austin Police Department is investigating after an argument possible involving a gun was reported Friday morning.
Officers went to an apartment in the 400 block of 3rd Ave SE around 9:30 a.m. Arriving officers believed a gun may have been involved and, with an "abundance of caution," officers approached and searched the area.
The police department said it believes this is not a random event and that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing.
