Above average temperatures expected through the middle of March
The weather theme over the last few months has largely been the mild air and above average temperatures and that will continue through at least the middle of March.
High temperatures will be 15° to 20° above average through Thursday. Some chilly Canadian air will arrive on the heels of a storm on Friday sending temperatures tumbling, but still will be near 5° to 15° above average through the weekend.
A surge of warmth arrives early next week with high temperatures returning to the 60s which is around 20° to 25° above average.
There are signs of some cooler air arriving late next week, but temperatures will still be above average. In fact, the Climate Prediction Center has a high probability of above average temperatures through at least the middle of March.
