Air quality begins to improve early Thursday

The Air Quality Alert is in effect through the entirety of Wednesday, and there is a chance it’s extended slightly, but conditions do look to improve after daybreak Thursday. There will still be some remaining haze higher up in the atmosphere, but the surface-based smoke should start to clear out soon.
