An average January for precipitation

Whether in southeast Minnesota or northeast Iowa, it has been an average month for precipitation. We will not see any significant shifts to round out the end of the month, as we don’t have any real rain or snow chances for the next week. Being closer to average is a nice New Year’s Resolution, but it will not help our drought thanks to how dry we were through the entire second half of 2023.
