An unusually cool Friday; warmer this weekend

Due to the quick increase in cloud cover, dry air near the ground, and light rain falling, temperatures were held in the 60s for many in Iowa and struggled into the low 70s in southern Minnesota. Even with some persistent, light rain, totals were around a trace (if you got any rain) to a few hundredths of an inch. This weekend will be warmer with highs heading back into the upper 70s to lower 80s.
