Chilly weekend followed by return to spring-like weather
The cold snap arriving to end the week will be brief as temperatures will moderate back to above average by the second half of the weekend lasting through next week.
High temperatures on Saturday will be near 30° and then the mid-to-upper 30s on Sunday with a mostly sunny sky expected both days. The wind will also be blustery with gusts up to 30 mph at times.
Temperatures will soar into the low 40s on Monday and then the upper 40s to low 50s likely on Wednesday which is more typical of early April.
Temperatures will dial back a bit toward the end of the week with highs in the 30s and 40s which is still above average.
The Climate Prediction Center has a high probability of above average temperatures in the 6-10 day range from February 20-24.
