Cloudy, chilly Friday
The spring-like weather that the ABC 6 Weather First area experienced over the last several days is now a thing of the past as colder Canadian air has found its way into the region.
The storm system that brought the record warmth and rain on Thursday continues to pull away from the area as high pressure builds in from the north behind a passing cold front.
As a result, expect clouds to be around through much of the day with some breaks late tonight into Saturday morning.
A few flurries will be possible under the thick clouds as the colder air builds in.
High temperatures will be around 15° to 20° colder than Thursday, but still above average, as highs manage the mid-to-upper 30s with some places possibly getting to 40° especially in north Iowa.
The wind won’t be as blustery as Thursday, but gusts up to 25 mph are possible through the day.
