Drizzle, fog, and a few slick spots
Weather will remain murky through the next few days as fog, drizzle, and a patch or two of ice remain staples of our weather diet. A passing storm system will keep clouds overhead through Wednesday night, Thursday, and Friday. With added moisture and mild air, drizzle and fog will be widespread across southern Minnesota and northern Iowa through Friday morning.
The trend of above average temperatures is going to continue into this coming weekend and beyond. High temperatures will get even more of a nudge upward next week, making their way back into the 40s to nearly 50 degrees by the end of the week.
Aside from our light drizzle and rain through Thursday, there aren’t any significant storm systems on the horizon for us anytime soon. February will kick off with temperatures running way above the norm for this time of the year. Heads up ice anglers, repeated days of highs above 32° will make for much softer and thinner ice through at least the next 7-10 days.
