Friday to be the coldest day in a month
Polar air has made its way into the area delivering the coldest air in nearly a month.
High temperatures will range from the upper teens in the north to mid-to-upper 20s across the far south in north Iowa under an at times partly sunny sky.
The wind will also ramp up with gusts near 25 mph at times resulting in single digit wind chills throughout the day.
Wind chills will fall near to below zero through the evening into early Saturday morning.
