Happy Meteorological Spring!

Happy Meteorological Spring everyone! What’s the difference between this & Astronomical Spring? The latter starts on March 20. Meteorological Spring begins on the first of March & ends of the 31 of May, making it easy to keep track of the seasonal climatological statistics for the area. This past Meteorological Winter will go down as the soggiest ever on record, with just over 6.5″ of rainfall & the liquid equivalent snowmelt combined. March is typically our snowiest month of the year, with the snowiest day ever seeing almost two feet of snow in 24 hours, on March 18, 2005! We can also experience very warm & very cold temperatures, along with soaking rain, as we see the transition of seasons take place.
