Heatwave next week

A ridge in the jet stream is going to start taking hold over us starting next week. Temperatures have been rather seasonable so far this month, so this will definitely be a change of pace for us. If dew points climb high enough, the heat indices will be climbing into the 100+ range. Unfortunately, it will come without much, if any, additional rainfall, so the drought will continue to expand and intensify at an increased pace.
