Mild weekend
The cold snap we’ll see to end the week will be brief. High pressure will be overhead on Friday keeping the weather quiet and cold. It’ll move to the southeast on Saturday with winds switching to the south as a warm front moves through leading to some milder air pushing into the area. There will be some passing clouds with high temperatures in the upper 20s to lower 30s. However, there will be a light breeze both days which will keep wind chills in the teens and 20s.
According to the Climate Prediction Center, the long-range weather models have a greater than 50% probability of above-normal temperatures in the region through next week. Keep in mind, the average high temperature during that timeframe is in the mid-20s.
