Quiet, cool weekend ahead

Quiet weather will be seen across the area this weekend as high pressure builds in from the north bringing in some cool Canadian air.

Temperatures will be above average for early February both Saturday and Sunday as highs manage to climb into the mid-30s. Overnight and morning lows will be in the low 20s.

There is some uncertainty on cloud cover and how much moisture will be available near the surface as drier air punches in. If the moisture isn’t scoured out, then Saturday may be a bit overcast and potentially cooler, however if the drier air can move out the moisture, then there will be some sunshine.

Another round of clouds will move in on Saturday night with a partly cloudy sky expected on Sunday.

Overall, the weekend will be quiet and not terrible for early February.
