Quiet weekend ahead with mild temperatures
The quiet weather pattern that has been locked in place for several days will continue through the weekend.
A blocking pattern will setup with the upper Midwest locked into a quiet, mild pattern with a storm system that will slowly track through the southern plains into the southeast U.S. as another system slowly turns off the east coast.
As a result, milder than average temperatures will continue with highs in the 40s and night lows in the 20s and 30s for both Saturday and Sunday.
There will be bouts of clouds here and there. The wind will also be light out of the southeast-to-east.
