Rainfall deficit and drought continue to grow

We’re now more than 4″ behind on the month of June so far, and the yearly surplus is no longer. The latest Drought Monitor will be released Thursday and should reflect recent gains and losses in the rainfall department. Some portions of southeast Minnesota have almost completely missed out on rain in the past week.
