Record highs challenged again Thursday
Record high temperatures will once again be challenged on Thursday, much like they have been all week from an early spring-like airmass that has been in place.
High temperatures are expected to climb into the low-to-mid 50s with some upper 50s possible in some places which no doubt would break records for the date. A strong southerly wind and sunshine in between rounds of light rain will help boost temperatures into record territory.
Record highs were broken in Rochester and many other communities on Monday and Tuesday, but fell short on Wednesday due to thick clouds overhead as highs only managed the upper 40s.
After Thursday, it’ll be the end of the line with the stretch of spring-like warmth as temperatures are expected to cool back off into the 30s on Friday which will carry over into next week.
