Record highs likely this weekend along with Sunday rain chance
A surge of warm air will likely lead to record high temperatures being broken this weekend with Sunday the more likely day of the two.
High temperatures on Saturday will climb into the low 60s under a bright and mostly sunny sky. It’ll be breezy at times with a southerly wind gusting up to 25 mph at times.
Sunday will be warmer as highs spike into the upper 60s to lower 70s which will likely break records for the day. A blustery southerly wind with gusts up to 45 mph at times combined with a mostly sunny sky will help drive in the warm air.
A cold front will approach sometime in the late Sunday afternoon to early evening timeframe which may spark a few light showers.
Behind the front, cooler air will settle in with high temperatures in the 40s heading into next week.
