Snow likely late Wednesday
Another system tracking through the area will bring a quick shot of snow late Wednesday afternoon and evening.
The center of the system will sweep through central Iowa leading to snow developing with roads quickly becoming slick during the evening hours.
The overall dynamics of the storm are a bit strong and it has quite a bit of moisture, so a burst of intense snow for a brief period can’t be ruled out as the storm moves through.
Overall, snow accumulations will be fairly light with most locations seeing a coating to 1″, however south into northeast Iowa, accumulations of 1-2″ is possible.
Snow will taper off as the storm pushes east of the area around midnight.
