Snow, travel troubles overnight
Snow will tally up 2-4″ with a few towards 5″ to the east before snow ends around midnight. The forecast trending downwards leading up to this one. This system initially was expected to be slower and close up. But over time, the trend was to keep this one more progressive and riding an open wave in the mid-levels of the atmosphere. This open wave means a quicker progression and overall weaker storm system. The two components took our expected totals down as the forecast evolved. Still, we’ll see impactful amounts.
Our travels will be slowed overnight while the snow falls. After midnight an improvement will be seen in an overall warm scenario. By the morning commute, some residual impacts are still possible but the power of the March sun (behind clouds) will quickly turn any trouble spots around.
Go slow this evening. You’ll need to.
