Steady, Heavy Snow On The Way
It’s been nearly two weeks since we’ve picked up measurable snowfall, with that stretch coming to an end later this evening, overnight, & for Thursday. Snow moves into northern Iowa first, between 6-8 PM, and will be wrapping up by the mid-day on Thursday. The heaviest snow, with snowfall rates of 1-2″ per hour at times, will be falling from 9 PM Wednesday – 4 AM Thursday. When it’s all said and done, widespread 5-8″ of snow is expected for the area, with a good portion around the MN/IA border in the 6-9″ range! It will be the heavier snow, so be sure to be careful on the roads, as it will be tough to see when it’s falling at the higher rates, but also take it easy while cleaning it up Thursday when it’s over!
