Sunday rainfall recap

The highest rainfall totals came in communities south of I-90 and east of I-35. Charles City, Mason City, and Preston did very well. The system did have more of an easterly track than a northeasterly track, which caused communities such as Rochester to get MUCH less rainfall. Fittingly, the rainfall was at its highest in communities where the drought conditions remain at their worst. It also caused Albert Lea and Owatonna to sit out this round of rain altogether. There is more rain in the forecast on Memorial Day, and this time more communities are expected to get rain.
