Sunny, quiet and chilly Thursday
Canadian high pressure will slowly build into the area on Thursday bringing some colder air with it and leading to a quiet and sunny day.
Temperatures will be a bit closer to average with highs in the upper 20s to lower 30s. A brisk northwest wind gusting up to 25 mph at times, will lead to wind chills (feels-like) likely in the teens.
Clouds will build later this afternoon and evening ahead of a storm system that is expected to stay south of the area late tonight into Friday. It may clip parts of north Iowa with some light snow and minor accumulations possible.
