Warm Monday to lead to record-breaking temperatures

A surge of warm air will lead to a record-breaking day across the ABC 6 Weather First area.

Highs will soar into the mid-to-upper 60s with the possibility of some communities in north Iowa touching 70°. Not only will most places break daily record highs, but some may also break the record for warmest February day on record!

The day will feature lots of sunshine and a breezy southerly wind gusting at times up to 35 which will drive in the warm air.
