Warm Start, Cold Finish to January

It’s no secret that this month of January has been very warm. In fact, it has been the 5th warmest month of January on record so far since 1940 (based on average temperature). We will not be catching 2006. In fact, it will be tough for this January to move up due to colder weather this time next week. The next closest is 22.8­°F in 2012.
