Warm Wednesday, Rain and Snow Coming
Wednesday will be the warmest day of the week. Temperatures start out in the 20s, but we quickly warm up throughout the day. Highs top off in the mid to upper-40s. Clouds become more and more common as the day goes along.
Things change big time on Thursday. We start out with rain in the morning and at midday, but quickly switch to snow in the afternoon and for the evening commute. Totals are looking to range anywhere from a light dusting around Charles City and Cresco to 2-4″ around Owatonna and surrounding communities. An Alert Day has been added due to timing on the evening commute, blowing snow, and the slick roads that can be expected as temperatures crash into Friday morning.
We could also see a couple isolated snow showers both early Friday and Saturday, but neither look to bring much snowfall. Temperatures suffer a brief setback before we warm back up next week.
