“Warmer” days ahead
Warmer days are ahead! The end of the week will bring another shot of cold Arctic air. However, it will be short-lived. The weather pattern will start to turn more progressive by this weekend as the cold air shifts east and more mild air fills its place. The weekend will see high temperatures climb into the low 30s. It’ll be the first time since Friday of last week that temperatures climb above freezing. However, there will be a bit of a breeze both days and that’ll likely keep wind chills in the teens/20s. Temperatures should generally remain in the 30s through the middle part of next week.
The Climate Prediction Center has greater than 50% probabilities that above-normal temperatures will be seen for the six-to-ten day period from Feb. 6 through 10. Normal high temperatures during this period are in the mid-20s.
