A bit of ice possible again Tuesday night, Wednesday morning

Much like Tuesday morning, fog will develop again Tuesday night to Wednesday morning, making for the potential of some icy roadways. Otherwise, clouds are going to hang in there for awhile and temperatures will be moving subtly above and below zero from day to night.

A couple of storm systems are still set to graze southern Minnesota and northern Iowa between Wednesday and Thursday. The first one is looking to have very little effect on us Wednesday, although a spot of drizzle or sleet is not out of the question. The second will have a bit more impact, bringing the likelihood of rain showers Thursday, potentially with a little freezing rain in spots as rain gets started early Wednesday.

Even with a bit of icing and passing storm systems, daily high and low temperatures will still be well above average this week. The rest of the month of January will remain mild in comparison to seasonal averages, and it’s looking to be even warmer headed into the first weekend of February. Uncertain how this will affect any furry, forecasting varmints going into the 2nd of February.
