FRIDAY ALERT DAY: snow and wind will make travel difficult
A WINTER STORM WATCH has been issued by the National Weather Service, effective 12:00am Friday until 9am Saturday. Snow looks to get underway between Midnight and 3am Friday morning (late Thursday night) and will last through the day Friday, ending early Saturday. There are, as always, uncertainties in the track and strength of the storm system, but at this point the WATCH has been issued for the potential of 6″ or more snow. It appears likely that travel will become difficult prior to sunrise Friday morning. With snow falling through the day Friday and into the wee hours of Saturday, it will remain difficult for awhile. The combination of wind and snow looks notably more potent than this past Monday-Tuesday snow.
