Warmest February temperatures on record – Monday’s numbers

Not only was today’s high a daily record for Austin, Albert Lea, Rochester, and Mason City, it was also the warmest February day on record and the warmest day of Meteorological Winter (Dec-Feb) for some of us. A strong, south wind and a ridge of high pressure pushed temperatures into the 70s for most of us this afternoon. Rochester was 1 degree shy of 70.
