Wet start to the week with additional precipitation chances late week
The wet will get off to a wet start, but that won’t be the only precipitation chance this week.
A cold front will slowly sag to the southeast across the area Monday morning leading to the chance of mainly rain. Some snow and sleet may mix in at times. Precipitation will continue through much of the afternoon before tapering off by early evening. High temperatures on Monday will be cool in the 40s with clouds and rain.
Dry weather is expected on Tuesday with highs in the 40s and then 50s on Wednesday.
A storm system looking to cross the region toward the second half of the week will bring precipitation chances back to the area. Rain is possible on Thursday with rain and snow showers possible on Friday as the system passes and colder air begins to move back in. However, the track and evolution of that system still remains unclear. Expect details to be ironed out in future forecasts.
