Winter’s spring break continues
Aside from a few, subtle changes from day-to-day, quiet winter weather will last into next week. Some thin clouds are moving into the region Thursday night to Friday morning and there will be patches of fog early Friday morning. Otherwise, the level of weather drama is as low as it gets.
Temperatures are going to remain mild to wrap up the week and carry us through the weekend. The coolest day of the next 7 days is going to be tomorrow (Friday) with highs around 40°. That doesn’t mean we’ll spend the day in the 40s, but for a short while Friday afternoon, highs will be around 38-42°.
Clouds will linger through Saturday, but highs will still be back into the mid-40s Saturday afternoon. There will be very little, daily change in the weather from this weekend through Friday of next week. Highs will linger in the mid-40s and overnight lows will drop just below the freezing mark each morning. For now, the jet stream will remain well to our north, keeping cold, arctic air bottled up through the middle of February.
