Canadian man pleads guilty to sexually abuse on the Bois Forte Reservation

(ABC 6 News) – A Canadian national pleaded guilty to abusive sexual contact with two minors at the Fortune Bay Resort and Casino on the Bois Forte Indian Reservation.
According to court documents, Canadian citizen Brady John Hillis was at the Fortune Bay Resort and Casino on the Bois Forte Indian Reservation on June 22, 2018. Hillis was captured on Fortune Bay’s security surveillance video engaging in sexual contact with two minor victims who were under 12 years of age.
Hillis pleaded guilty yesterday before Chief U.S. District Judge John R. Tunheim to two counts of abusive sexual contact with a child under 12 years of age. A sentencing hearing will be scheduled for a later date.
This case is the result of an investigation conducted by the FBI and the Bois Forte Police with Assistant U.S. Attorney Deidre Y. Aanstad is prosecuting the case.
