Man arrested after search warrant reveals nearly 5 pounds of marijuana, several guns
(ABC 6 News) – A Stewartville man has been arrested after a search warrant at his home revealed nearly five pounds of marijuana as well several guns, including one that was stolen from another state.
The sheriff’s office said it had a knock and search narcotics warrant for a home on the 2100 block of Eagle Drive NW in Stewartville. While doing surveillance Monday morning members of the sheriff’s office and the Southeast Minnesota Violent Crime Enforcement Team saw a man leave the house and walk toward a vehicle.
Deputies stopped the man named in the warrant, 43-year-old Reginald Grose of Stewartville who has prior felony convictions, and searched him. Deputies located 56 individual bags of marijuana on Grose.
A search was also done of the home where the teams located two rifles and a shotgun, all were loaded. One of the rifles had reportedly been stolen out of Illinois. Inside, deputies also found just over 4.5 pounds of marijuana as well as $300.
Grose is facing several possible charges including 5th-degree controlled substance sales, controlled substance possession, possessing ammunition or firearm from a previous felony conviction, possessing ammunition or firearm by any user of a controlled substance and receiving stolen property.
