(ABC 6 News) – A third candidate announced they plan to join the race for Rochester’s City Council Ward 6 seat.
Dan Doering says he plans to file paperwork to officially enter the November election.
Doering is currently the pastor for the People of Hope Lutheran Church.
Doering will face off against incumbent Councilmember Molly Dennis, who has a discrimination lawsuit against Mayor Kim Norton, Councilmember Patrick Keane and the city of Rochester.
Former Rochester School Board member Mark Schluesner has also announced plans to enter the race.
The filing period ends June 4. A primary will be held on August 13 to reduce the race between two candidates.
