Snow impacts travel across the region Tuesday

(ABC 6 News) – Snow across the region made travel treacherous for many throughout the day Tuesday.
There were numerous crashes, spinouts, and standstills at times across the region.
According to the Minnesota State patrol, between 5 a.m. to 5 p.m., troopers in the Rochester district responded to a total of 52 crashes (43 Property damage crashes,9 injury), as well as 49 additional vehicles that had ran off road and required tow assistance & 10 jackknifed semis.
Most of the local area saw 2-5″ of snow with parts of far southeast Minnesota and northern Iowa receiving a dusting to 2.”
ABC 6 News Chief Meteorologist Chris Kuball said an Alert Day will extend into Wednesday for snow blowing around and possible travel delays as a result. Wind will gusts 30-40 mph at times.
