(ABC 6 News) – The Rochester Public school district held a very special event Thursday to thank the community for helping build its new schools.
Over the last year, the district has built a new Dakota middle school as well as Longfellow and Bishop Elementary.
Thursday evening, the public was invited to tour Bishop to see the new classrooms and all the work that’s been done to create a great learning environment.
“We have lots of places to host small group learning and discussion, as well as large group learning and our group learning spaces, our media center, our cafeteria, so those are some of the awesome amenities,” said Harriet Bishop Elementary Principal Wendy J. Moritz.
The open house event welcomed many community members to give them the chance to check out the schools and to connect with the faculty.
