Freeborn County sex offender violates probation, sentenced to month of jail

Jonathan Wigham, Feb. 2025
(ABC 6 News) – A Hollandale man who pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal sexual conduct with a young teenager was re-arrested for violating his probation, according to Freeborn County Court.
Jonathan David Wigham was previously sentenced to 180 days in jail on work release with credit for time he had already spent in Freeborn County’s jail for having unsupervised, unapproved contact with juveniles — which violated his pre-sentencing probation.
Freeborn County judge Ross L. Leuning sentenced Wigham to 30 days of jail following this latest violation of his terms of release.
Wigham was also ordered to “follow all directives of child protection services regarding children.”
He was given permission to seek work release, or request to be transferred to Blue Earth County.
