(ABC 6 News) – The Minnesota State Patrol has released a report confirmed that a three-year-old child died in a crash Monday morning.

Earlier Tuesday morning, MSP said that the driver of the Toyota Camry was 28-year-old Maria De Lose Garcia Galindo of St. Paul. Garcia Galindo was transported to Regions Hospital with what the report called “life-threatening” injuries.

Meanwhile, the driver of the semi, 39-year-old Danilo Vukmanovic, was not transported to a hospital, and did not have any major injuries as a cause of the crash.

Garcia Galindo also had a passenger, identified as three-year-old Sebastian Chavez Garcia.

Chavez Garcia died from injuries sustained in the crash, according to the MSP.

(ABC 6 News) – Highway 52 has been reopened in both directions between Hampton and Cannon Falls following a fatal crash at around 10:30 this morning.

The crash shut down the road for hours as crews worked to investigate the cause, & clear debris from the roadway.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash happened after a Toyota Camry that was traveling southbound crossed the center line, colliding head first with a semi truck traveling in the opposite direction.

The deceased party has not yet been named by authorities.
