(ABC 6 News) – Iowa Democrats are coming together ahead of next week’s caucuses.

Chairperson of the Iowa Democratic Party Rita Hart says this year’s caucuses will go a little differently than previous elections.

The major difference? Accessibility.

“For the first time a firefighter or a police officer working a third shift, or a parent who may not have child care, or a snow bird who is spending the month in Arizona or Florida, and those in our disability community who struggle with home healthcare can now make sure their voices are heard,” said Hart.

The Iowa caucuses begin on Monday, Jan. 15.
