(ABC 6 News) – Iowa Democrats are looking to lower the cost of living in the state.

Democratic lawmakers will introduce several bills that could change the minimum wage, clear disability waitlists and expand the tax free holiday.

Right now, Iowa’s minimum wage sits at $7.25 an hour. Democrats look to raise it to $10.85.

Political analysts say the bills are unlikely to pass.
