(ABC 6 News) – The Iowa Department of Transportation looks to install new charging stations across the state.
The DOT says they are looking to spend $20-30 million over two years on the project.
These charging stations will be a mile or less off an exit of a major freeway. The DOT wants to place a station at least every 50 miles.
Organizations can apply for one of those new charging stations by March 13.
The DOT says the goal is to help improve availability on national routes.
