(ABC 6 News) – Iowa has emerged as having some of the highest radon levels inside homes when compared to the rest of the country.
The odorless, radioactive gas is said to be the leading cause of lung cancer for non-smokers. Radon can also be linked to thousands of deaths each year.
In response, CG Public Health will offer free radon testing kits for people in Cerro Gordo County. limited to one per household.
