(ABC 6 News) – Four straight days of snowfall in southeastern Minnesota. Snowplow drivers have been hard at work keeping the streets clear and safe for us to drive on. The snow tends to be tough time for some, but for plow drivers it’s just another day in the north star state.
“Oh, it’s Minnesota. I don’t think it’s our worst one yet for the year. We get on, it seems like one every year of that real heavy wet snow,” said plow driver James Hart.
Rochester did see some of the heavy wet snow mid-week that caused problems for plow drivers like Hart.
“This one everything seemed to be going good at first, but with it being that wet heavy snow things are going to break, we had a couple salters break,” said Hart.
Later in the week, the temperatures dropped the snow became lighter and the wind got stronger Hart says that the lighter snow presents its own challenges.
“You get the wind funneling in certain areas and it’s a losing battle,” said Hart.
Even though there have been multiple days of snowfall in a row Hart says it’s no big deal.
“Oh it’s just another day,” said Hart.
Those plow drivers will be getting a break as there is no snow in the forecast Sunday.
