Local businessman announces candidacy against Rep. Hicks

(ABC 6 News) – A new candidate has tossed his cap into the ring for the 25A House seat.
Ken Navitsky will challenge current state congresswoman Kim Hicks (DFL).
According to his candidate website, Navitsky is currently a sales executive for All Star Basements and previously founded soccer programs at area high schools and coached football at RCTC.
Navitsky previously ran for Senate District 25 in 2022 Republican. He was defeated by DFL candidate Liz Bolden.
Navitsky is currently listed as a vice-char of the Basic Political Organizational Unit, a part of the Republican Party.
Minnesota House primaries are scheduled for Aug. 13, 2024. Candidates’ filing deadline is June 4.
