2023 Golden Snow Boot award winner: Gage Elementary

(ABC 6 News) – MnDOT announced that Rochester’s Gage elementary is officially this year’s “Golden Snow Boot award” winner.
Each year, schools around the state submit stories and photo of their “Winter Walk to School day” event to compete for the award.
Students prepared cards and gifts for crossing guards and delivered door hangers to houses along the way to thank them for clearing sidewalks of snow along their route.
A handful of special guests joined students for the walk including members of the Rochester police and fire departments and the Rochester Grizzlies.
