Albert Lea water ski team hosting regional tournament

(ABC 6 News) – The Albert Lea Bayside Ski Team will be hosting the 2022 Midwest Regional Ski Tournament on Friday, July 29 through Sunday, July 31.
The public is invited as eight teams from three states will be competing.
Individual skill competitions begin at 1pm on Friday. Sixty individuals will be showing off their skills in swivel, strap doubles, freestyle jump and team jump.
Team performances will start at 8am on Saturday and Sunday. Albert Lea’s team performance is scheduled second on Saturday at roughly 9am.
Concessions will be sold on site – no outside food or coolers allowed in the event area.
Spectators are encouraged to park in the areas near the bandshell and east pavilions. The lot at the Edgewater Bay pavilion will be reserved for participants. There will be no parking at the event area.
Additionally, there will be limited access for the public at the Highway 13 boat landing Friday through Sunday – boaters are encouraged to use the Brookside boat landing instead.
