Boys & Girls Club of Rochester Community Board Chair receives big honor
(ABC 6 News) – Boys & Girls Club of Rochester’s Community Board Chair Claudia Tabini is among six new members of the Greater Midwest Area Council Hall of Fame.
The Boys & Girls Clubs Area Council Hall of Fame honors those rare individuals whose high achievements have made a mark in their local Club and have impacted the Greater Midwest Area Council (GMAC). Hall of Fame honorees have shaped and inspired local Clubs in Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota. They are true champions for children and have provided innumerable contributions of time, treasure, and talent, and have made a significant and lasting impact on Boys & Girls Clubs.
Tabini has provided over 18 years of service to the Boys & Girls Club of Rochester. Tabini started as Club volunteer, with the aim of getting involved in the Rochester community. She now serves as the Community Board Chair.

In 2009 Tabini founded Chili Challenge, one of Rochester’s most popular annual events, The event has raised $400,000 for the Boys & Girls Club of Rochester. She has been the driving force of A Chair Affair, the organization’s annual gala, making it the premier fundraising event in Rochester and Southern Minnesota.
