Eyota woman sentenced to probation, $6.6K restitution after financially exploiting seniors

(ABC 6 News) – An Eyota woman was sentenced to 5 years of supervised probation and ordered to pay $6,619.83 in restitution after financially exploiting four seniors living at a facility in Rochester.

Chelsey Jean Struckmann, formerly of Grand Meadow, pleaded guilty to financial exploitation of a vulnerable adult in 2022, after withdrawing nearly $6,500 from four elderly adults’ bank accounts when she worked at an assisted living facility.

Struckmann’s case was diverted to the Olmsted County Pre-Trial Diversion Program in exchange for an admission of guilt and repayment of the $6,491.75.

However, in October of 2023, Struckmann failed to complete her diversion contract and the case went back to prosecution, according to court documents.

Struckmann was ordered to follow all orders from Olmsted County probation, including participation in classes and/or counseling if directed Monday, Jan. 29.
