(ABC 6 News) – Climb aboard and take a trip back in time with the Historic Mantorville Trolley Tour.

Taking the scenic route from downtown Rochester to Main St. Mantorville, the free ride drops you at the doorstep of the historic Hubble House.

“It’s really fun and exciting to see people come into Mantorville and want to see our village, and see our historic properties which we maintain every year and make beautiful,” says Carla Webster, a member of the Mantorville Restoration Association.

You can sit down for a meal at the Hubble House, or go for a stroll down Main St.

“It was a great idea to bring folks into Mantorville to learn more about the history here,” says co-owner of the Hubble House, Joe Powers Jr. “And this isn’t just about the Hubble House. We want to bring a bunch of people in here to help keep the businesses rolling.”

While this trip happens once a week, you’ll have to act fast.

“It’s starting out so successful that I’m sure we’re going to continue it on into next year,” says Terry Eckstein, president of the Mantorville Chamber of Commerce. “Keep an eye on this trolley project, because I think it’s going to keep growing and become larger.”

The tour departs from downtown Rochester every Thursday through the end of the year.
